Large-scale Russian Attacks Eliminate Electricity Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have faced escalating attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused power cuts in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were hurt while inhabitants in eastern districts were left without electricity and faced problems to drinking water, as stated by municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, as reported by local officials.

Moscow has increased strikes on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while the country's government has called for "substantial measures" from allies to apply pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not window dressing but firm measures - from the America, the EU and the G7 - in delivering defensive weapons and implementing restrictions," was stated in a online statement.

He said that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty missiles attacked the country's power systems, describing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were striving to restore power.

A wave of strikes hit power facilities and civilian homes in the capital.

Several of the people hurt in the strikes on the city have been taken to hospital, according to city authorities.

Regional authorities said the city endured significant strikes during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child lost their life and multiple civilians were wounded.

The attacks succeed nights of bombing campaigns in the territory, sections of which remain under the control of Russian forces.

The whole nation is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to identify.

Authorities told the media that Russia was purposely seeking to demolish the national power system, with strikes already impacting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and officials were preparing for more assaults.
